Seniors and Persons With Disabilities receive 50% off one-way tickets. Active Duty Military with valid ID ride free. To access these discounts, you must purchase at the Ogilvie/Union or Michigan Ave Dock and bring your ID.

Children ages 3 years old and younger do not need a ticket on Chicago Water Taxi.

Tickets do not expire by date, only by use. Tickets can be used several seasons after the purchase date. One ticket is valid for one trip between any two docks.

One Way Tickets are $10.00 ($5.00 for seniors) and children 3 years old and younger are free.

Yes! A Commuter Pass includes ten rides and can be purchased by registering through our website as a commuter here.

Chicago Water Taxi does have limited wheelchair accessible route options that are subject to availability and must be reserved in advance. Please call 312-337-1446 to inquire about availability.

Yes, note all luggage is subject to inspection by security personnel.

Yes, the water taxis have restrooms.

Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed on the water taxis. Some water taxi vessels sell snacks, water, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages.

Three out of four water taxis are climate controlled. All water taxis have a covered area to protect from the elements.

Unfortunately we do not go to Navy Pier at this time. The Michigan Avenue Dock is one mile West of Navy Pier.

The water taxi season generally runs from March through the end of December. Service starts mid morning on weekdays, and late mornings on weekends, and runs until mid evening. For exact departure times use the trip planner here on our homepage.

The Main Branch Route stops at Chinatown (Ping Tom Park), Michigan Ave (400 N Michigan Ave) and Ogilvie/Union (Metra Stations).
